Payroll & Timesheet Requirements

Beginning on January 1^st, 2022 all timesheets must be entered to Payroll by the Monday 10AM deadline for each pay week.

Please see WGL’s notice below for details.

WGL observes Christmas on Friday, December 24th. All Local 96 members will receive holiday pay for that day. If you work on Friday, you will be paid time and a half in addition to your holiday pay. If you work on Christmas Day, you will be paid double time for every hour that you work.

This can be found in the WGL contract on Pg. 31, Paragraphs 3 & 4.

Drive Cam Update December

Local 96 has received 7 Drive Cams so far in the month of December. Please keep in mind that Handheld Device points have increased.

Please make sure you are following proper protocol while driving work vehicles. If you need to use the phone, please pull over in a safe place.

PTO Policy Update

Pandemic Leave Expired

UPDATE: The Pandemic leave policy will not be renewed.

As of December 1, 2021 the 14 days of COVID leave has expired and there is no 14-day administrative leave available.

Vaccination Status Update

Local Union 96 has consulted our Attorney and the EEOC has ruled that employers have the right to request proof of vaccination status.

We are waiting for WGL to provide us with information on how they will keep employee vaccination status confidential.

Health Insurance and Retirement Update

Health Care: If you do not make any changes to your Healthcare Plan in workday, you will keep your current plan.

FSA & HSA must be updated annually.

If you do not update them, you will no longer be enrolled for the following plan year.

Retirement: When retiring, your retirement is based off your last 3 years of employment and not your 3 highest-paid years.

Local Union Election Ballot Mailed

Ballots for the Local Union Election were mailed out to all active members on Monday, November 15th, 2021. If you do not receive your ballot by November 27th, please contact the union for a replacement ballot.
