Trusteeship Hearing Notice
Please be advised that a hearing will take place on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, to afford all members of Local Union No. 96 an opportunity to address a panel regarding whether the Emergency Trusteeship imposed on the Local on Thursday, August 20, 2026, should be continued. The hearing will be held at Teamsters Local Union No. 639, located at 3100 Ames Place Northeast, Washington, DC 20018. It will commence at 9:00 AM EST. Teamsters Local 96 Members Ratify Contract with Washington Gas
The members of Teamsters Local 96 voted to ratify a new contract with Washington Gas, the natural gas provider for Washington D.C. and the surrounding area. The vote came after members voted overwhelmingly to authorize a potential strike just one week earlier.
